A-Z of groups (this list is being added to all the time)

At our church, we have a variety of groups that meet that you are welcome to join. From hobby groups to bible study we have something for everyone. Below you will find a short description for some of our groups. More information will be added soon about our other groups. Scroll down or click on the links below to see more details.

CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other)

This takes place every second Tuesday in the month starting at 7.30pm.
CAMEO enjoy knitting and chatting. They knit squares for blankets and jumpers for children in Africa wherever needed. They also knit clothes for pre-natal babes at Wythenshawe maternity, baby blankets, and Twiddle muffs for dementia sufferers. They knit pretty much anything we can think of too. Whilst knitting and chatting our Church organist plays a variety of music in the background. The group enjoys a cup of tea and a cake and usually close about 9.30-10.00pm. Do come along, a warm welcome awaits you.

With no commitment and no auditions necessary, choir practice starts at 10am most Sunday mornings. No skills or music knowledge is needed, and we practice ready for the service starting at 10.45am the same day. The hymns we choose vary from upbeat and fun, to soft, slow and beautiful.

Great friendships have developed between choir members. Learning and singing together creates great bonds and there is a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when a more challenging hymn is mastered.

If you have any questions or queries, contact Karen, our Choir Mistress, on 07958 747359 or karen.garrattley@gmail.com.
